FeelGood Bali - Pajamas with Purpose

Romperjama in red – FeelGood c/o

The beauty of this trip to Southeast Asia is absolutely not only about amazing landscapes and nature or even culture. While visiting Ubud, I had the great pleasure to meet Tess, founder of the sustainable pajama brand FeelGood. After moving into our new airbnb, a warm afternoon of fresh coconut water and coffee at a beautiful co-working space with her, I was very excited to introduce to you this ethical pajama brand that gives back to the Balinese community.

Happy Helping

FeelGood was born with the intention of giving back. While wearing a FeelGood pajama you’re investing in two pre-schools in Bali {PAUD Cemara Kasih and PAUD Widya Kumara Sari}. Each sale supports the education of unprivileged children by helping finance their school fees, by financing the teachers’ training and volunteers. On the other hand, the success of the schools comes with the kids enthusiasm to participate, thanks to Agnes {founder of the two schools} and her active learning curriculum. The news are spread by word of mouth, and the requests from families to bring their kids keep growing.

Craftsmanship

When it comes to crafts, FeelGood very much values the Balinese know-how. These pajamas are made at a workshop in Ubud, named Mata Dewi, where workers can be found under good working conditions, safety and security. Also, some of the workers are mothers who work remotely from their homes while taking care of their kids. Some of the pajamas have beautiful patterns. These hand painted patterns are delicately created through the traditional Indonesian technique “Batik Tulis”, a technique which was designated a Unesco Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity in 2009.

Eco-friendly fabrics

On top of the social aspects, Tess has developed the brand involving materials that respect our environment and our health such as cotton. While it is true that organic cotton requires more water, it contains no chemicals that could pollute our water, putting the workers’ health in danger and that rub against our biggest organ while we wear it, our skin.
Regarding Batik paint, it is composed of bee wax and plant-based dye.

Sleepwear to Loungewear

On the pics, I’m wearing the organic cotton romperjama from the Liberating collection. I have surprisingly come out of my pastel colors by choosing red! This color brings out the sexiness in a pajama that doesn’t show too much of the body, giving a perfect connotation, what seduces is never actually shown. And it’s super comfortable. These PJs have now become my favorite outfit for this trip! I can wear it to sleep or as a casual outfit. Hence, I invite you to scroll down to see how to transform these pajamas into a chic casual outfit! I can’t wait to wear these in a more urban style once I’m back in Europe in late August.
In the meantime, it’s Summer Sale so you can enjoy a 15% discount + free shipping with code WOOHOO, here! Enjoy!

This romperjama comes with a belt, once worn gives that instant put-together look. One day I styled it with these golden earrings {enjoy 10% off with code BienvenueTPP} and slip-ons in town.
