A couple of days ago we offered ourselves a sweet escape to London City to visit a few special friends. Without too much planning for this trip, I had at least one place I wanted to see: Notting Hill chic neighbourhood and its pastel houses. Each and every facade was bringing freshness and brightness to the streets. I am sure that soft colours can brighten up our days when we feel down. And now I am wondering why there aren’t more pastel buildings in the world. I strongly recommend you the enjoyable experience of strolling through Notting Hill streets if you like the Victorian architecture. On Saturdays, you could also venture into the Portobello Road market where you can shop vintage clothes & vinyls, fruits & veggies and fresh flowers.
On a fashion note, you’ve heard the saying “Ne’er cast a cloud ’til May is out” which means the time has not yet arrived to give up on your faux-furs and your coats! I had a big crush on this patchwork gilet from Topshop. The sleeveless feature makes it easy to dress it up above a shirt or underneath a coat without looking to wintery.
I like how this faux-fur jacket elevates my laid-back outfit. And to stay chic without breaking your piggy bank, I found more unreal fur gilets for you under 50€: this one from Missguided, this one from Only or this cream-coloured one from Dahlia.
